Frequently asked questions
General
Simply because I genuinely love animals, especially dogs, and I now have the opportunity to realise my dream of creating a business with services that can help people with their beloved pets. Meeting pets and helping people is a great combination for a business I want to be part of.
A general description would be a five mile radius from Pudding Norton, however please contact me first if you're unsure you fall into this area.
At present, no.
Only in emergency situations where a booking needs to be made with less than 24hrs notice, or if my website is down for maintenance. However I am more than happy to guide you through the online booking system ether by phone or email.
At present I cannot accept cash for bookings.
This is possible, but please call me first to discuss your needs.
Because owning a pet has become very expensive in recent years, with pet insurance and vet's fees being examples of rising costs. I feel that a lot of people will make the unfortunate decision to not get, rescue, or even foster a pet, due to financial reasons. There will also be those who wish to have a pet but, for example, will not because they know they cannot meet the needs of their pet. This includes daily walks, which can again be expensive if you require the regular need for a dog walker. For me it would be fantastic if someone found my services and made the decision to get a pet knowing there was affordable services available to them.
Please read my answer as to why my prices are lower, as this should give you the information you need.
Although my insurance covers up to four dogs per walk, it will depend on the size and temperament of your dogs. Either before or during our meet and greet session, we can discuss options if I feel I need to walk your dogs separately. However because I do not charge extra per dog, having separate walks may still be financially beneficial to you, compared to dog walkers who do charge these extras.
For example, some dog walkers will charge the same as me per walk (in this case £10), but will charge anything from £5 - £9 extra per dog. So a single walk, for say three dogs, could cost well over £20 and even splitting up the dogs into two separate walks would still be expensive. But my services mean that if your dogs need two separate walks, I will only charge £10 for each walk which could be a cheaper option for you.
First, any professional dog walker will need additional insurance and a waiver to be signed by the client for off-leash walks. But that is not my main reason for not offering this service.
I've encountered numerous off-leash dogs that have approached my on-lead dog while out on walks. While most have been pleasant experiences, there have been some that weren't and with every case the owner has not been able to properly re-call their dog, with the excuse that their dog 'usually' does follow their command. The decision to walk a dog off-leash should come from common sense, and to ask yourself these questions:
• Do I understand that not all dogs behave the same as my dog?
• Can my dog be re-called every time I give the command?
• Can my dog remain calm and by my side when another dog is close by?
• Can my dog remain calm and non-threatening when approaching other dogs?
• Can my dog remain calm and non-threatening when approached by other dogs?
• Can I give my dog 100% of my attention while walking, and not to answer or be distracted by my phone in anyway?
If you honestly answered no to any of these questions, but insist on off-leash walking, you should hire an enclosed dog park or field. I would be more than happy to assist you in finding such a place if asked.
Simply for your dog's safety. Mixing packs should require a calm and supervised introduction in an area where neither pack is felt threatened or protective of their owner. This is something I cannot offer at present.

Unfortunately, at this time, I can only offer my services on a part-time basis, so this may limit the amount of appointments I can book per day. This is why I’m only offering 30 minute sessions for my services, so I can help as many clients as I can. My hope is that I have enough interest in my services that I can make this my full-time profession.
